Vibe Coding - the new S!*#... ?

A small intro into Vibe Coding including our very own opinion about it

You’ve probably heard the term “Vibe Coding” floating around on Social Media lately.

It’s what happens when people start using GPTs to create software code based on prompting. AI will do the work.

For many - Vibe Coding was kind of a ‘weekend tech projects’ initiative.

The (supposed) upsides?

  • Fast prototyping

  • Low Budget

  • “Creative flow” for devs

  • AI-assisted builds in hours, not weeks

We already heard the first managers sensing efficiency potential :)

Our All Hands on Tech Opinion:

If your problem statement was vague before — it won’t magically become clearer by coding ‘on vibes.’
You’ll just reach the wrong destination… faster.

My colleague David Lorenz has already had to rescue several projects born from the Vibe Coding school of thought. And let me tell you: cleaning up after vibes is a full-time job — often with a lot more massive effort and cost than anyone expected.

Vibe Coding is fun… but hey, lets just accepts that we still need to do a little bit of thinking ourselves

Our take?
Yes, AI can boost productivity.
Yes, you should explore new methods.
But no — coding without clarity is not a strategy.
It’s an expensive experiment in chaos.
